First ICMC Conference in Boston, March 31

Middletown, RI; January 12, 2016 – Robert Burton, Managing Director of PreparedEx, the leading crisis, business continuity, emergency management and security management firm, today announced the launch of The International Crisis Management Conference (ICMC) series. The first ICMC conference will be held in Boston on March 31.

PreparedEx, which will manage ICMC, created the conference series in response to the growing demand for internationally regionalized education and training for preparedness professionals. The conferences will be held in a variety of countries across the world.

Each ICMC conference will feature top crisis experts from diverse industries who will present a wide range of crisis-related topics, such as planning for and coping with cyber security attacks, product recalls, work-place violence, natural disasters, terrorism and criminal behaviors.

“Through our work at PreparedEx, we know that many organizations are increasingly demanding the latest knowledge on how they can best prepare themselves for all the changing threats that could potentially strike their organization,” said Rob Burton, who will serve as ICMC’s director. “We created this conference series to help meet those demands and are tailoring each conference to the unique conditions in the country where it will be held.”

ICMC conferences will be open to crisis planners from every business sector, non-profit organizations, religious and educational institutions.

The first ICMC conference will be held in Boston on March 31 and will feature speakers including cyber security expert Leo Taddeo, who recently became Chief Security Officer at Cryptzone after serving as Special Agent in charge of the Special Operations/Cyber Division of the FBI’s New York office. Among the other speakers will be Joseph F. McEnness, Executive Director of the Office of Risk Management for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston (RCAB).
