Organizations often recover quickly from disruptions, but recovery only restores operations, it doesn’t fix underlying issues. Over time, unresolved problems like workarounds and deferred fixes accumulate, weakening the system’s ability to handle future stress.
This session distinguishes recovery (returning to normal function) from rehabilitation (addressing root causes and restoring resilience). It shows how ongoing pressures and disruptions build hidden strain that changes system performance.
Participants gain practical tools to spot when their organization is relying on recovery instead of true rehabilitation, recognize signs of growing strain, and take action before larger failures occur.
