Lorraine Schneider, CEM, Founder & Executive Director of Emergency Management Growth Initiative, presented “Increasing the Visibility of Emergency Management” at the 6th Annual ICMC Virtual Conference in October 2021.
Lorraine has developed and implemented rigorous training and exercise programs serving The Walt Disney Company and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2020, she founded the Emergency Management Growth Initiative in an effort to make the emergency management profession both more visible and accessible.
In her presentation, she explained that expanding awareness and recognition beyond the traditional EM sphere can be crucial for job effectiveness and job resiliency.
