Peter T. Gaynor CEM, Senior Vice President / Director, National Resilience Response and Recovery Programs at
LiRo Group, presented, “The Power of American Business during the COVID-19 Pandemic” at the 6th Annual ICMC Virtual Conference in October 2021.
Pete served as the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security, FEMA Administrator and Deputy FEMA Administrator. During 2020, he oversaw FEMA’s first-ever operational response to a nationwide pandemic while simultaneously responding to a record number of historic natural disasters.
During Pete’s presentation, he discussed the critical partnerships of American businesses during the COVID-19 Pandemic. He shared examples from how the federal government partnered with a diverse number of private partners, like UPS, Federal Express, McKesson, Cardinal and many others in the national response to the pandemic.
