A Collaborative Crisis Management Approach for Large Organizations
Ashley Goosman, MBCP, MBCI, MPA
Disasters are on the rise and crisis managers need to be prepared to respond to a variety of events. Lessons Learned from COVID-19 and other incidents over the past few years taught us to be prepared for long-tail events. Additionally, crisis teams are increasingly being called upon to respond to concurrent risks and crises. For many high-impact events, crisis managers need to adopt a collaborative approach that brings together leaders from multiple domains across corporations, from business continuity, security, safety, IT, cybersecurity, risk, and crisis management. This webinar will describe why evolving best practices are shifting from the traditional Incident Command System to a more cooperative, unified command method. Additionally, guidance will be provided on why leveraging soft skills is a key to success in this changing environment.
